Abistir ® (ABS)

Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Compound
Abistir® is the trade name of the Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene Compound (ABS) manufactured by SO.F.TER.
The Abistir® range includes filled, reinforced, flame-retarded materials and other compounded materials variously modified and enriched with additives.
The main characteristics of the Abistir® range are:
  • Excellent dimensional stability
  • Excellent aesthetical properties
  • Good impact resistance
  • Processing ease.

  • Parts requiring excellent surface appearance.
Abistir® can be co-moulded with some special grades of the Laprene® range (SEBS-based thermoplastic elastomer).
Abistir® is a resin for injection moulding.

The following temperature settings are recommended when processing standard materials:
  • Cylinder temperature 190-230°C
  • Mould temperature 50-60°C
  • Drying 2h@80°C
Abistir® is a fully recyclable material and can be reused after regrinding. The user shall always verify that the compound obtained by mixing virgin and reground material is suitable for the specific application and that its properties meet the requirements.
This product should be stored in a covered facility and kept away from moisture and heat.
